Tro-Peak Adventures offers opportunities to view chimpanzees in the wild. Under the supervision of a park ranger you will get the rare treat of observing these amazing animals in their own habitat. These are offered in far western Tanzania at Mahale National Park and at the famous Gombe Steam National Park, the site of Jane Goodall's continuing research (since 1960!).

Day 1 Arrive in Kigoma
Fly from Kilimanjaro or Arusha airports to Kigoma. Arrive Kigoma and pick up from the airport for transfer to Kigoma Hilltop
Hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Kigoma to Mahale National Park
Breakfast at the hotel followed by departure to Mahale National Park by motorized boat; visit the Mahale Park Information
Center at park headquarters. Lunch at the camp and afternoon at leisure. Dinner and bonfire at Nkungwe luxury tented camp
Day 3:Chimpanzee Tracking
After breakfast in the camp depart for a chimpanzee tracking in the forest, returning to the camp for lunch. After lunch game
viewing by boat on the lake (birds, hippos etc). Dinner and bonfire at Nkungwe Luxury Tented Camp
Day 4: Game viewing & fishing
After breakfast start with game viewing / chimpanzee tracking in the forest followed by lunch at the camp.
The afternoon will be spent fishing by boat on the lake (2 to 3 hours). Dinner and bonfire at Nkungwe Luxury Tented Camp
Day 5: Return to Kigoma
Early breakfast at the camp then depart for Kigoma by motorized boat. Lunch and transfer to the airport for the return
to Moshi or Arusha.

Breakfast at the hotel and then depart to Gombe National Park by boat. Morning chimpanzee tracking in the forest.

Day 3:Chimpanzee Tracking
Breakfast at the campfollowed by chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Climb to the Kakombe Waterfalls at the park.
Lunch at the Gombe Rest House. Dinner at the Gombe Rest House.
Day 4: Gombe - Kigoma
Breakfast in the park and then boat ride to Kigoma for your onward travel back to Moshi or Arusha.
